Blackberry Desktop Has Stopped Working

Hey there all,

 

Really could use some help. First time Blackberry user and I just went to install DM6 on my machine. I am running a Dell XPS1710, Windows 7 Pro, 3GB of memory. I have UAC off. The software installs fine, but when I go to run it, I receive an error that the program must close with the following details:

I have done a complete uninstall using directions found in other forums here. I have logged in directly under the Administrator account, with all non-basic services/programs disabled during startup. No change. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am having the same problem, and I also did complete uninstall / reinstalls.  TWICE.  No luck.

The only solution I was able to find literally involved using Desktop 5.0.1. It seems to work fine without any major issues. I suppose after they've done a few patches to Desktop 6, maybe I'll try again. Until then though...

Unfortunately you and thousands of other DTM v.6. users are experiencing the same problem including myself.

If you haven't done so as yet, consider a clean uninstall as instructed on KB02206. Perhaps installing DTM v.5. might run on your computer and then again it might not.

Many users are hoping for an update of DTM v.6. in the new year to resolve this serious issue since last August. Sorry my reply does not help you but a clean uninstall is best.
