Blackberry Desktop Manager?

Everytime I download Blackberry Desktop Manager and try to open the file it says it is "not an executable file" and it may contain viruses. Then my computer freezes and I have to force close everything with the task manager. I'm downloading the program directly from blackberry.com so it shouldn't have a virus....? Anyone know whats going on?? By the way I have mozilla firefox.

Restart the computer if you haven't done so.
Sounds like you're having some general computer issues.
Can you try doing the same thing with internet explorer?  Use this link to download:

I also recommend that you use ccleaner
www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Do a system clean and clean the registry.  repeast the registry clean until no more entries are left.

Also recommend that you scan your computer for malware using malwarebytes:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

What antivirus are you using?  I suggest Avast. (The free one)
