Re: Blackberry Media Manager NOT working for Blackberry storm (wont install on computer)

Hi,

I have a similar problem. When I downloaded the most recent update for the Storm (BBerry 4.7), the Roxio Media Manager didn't fully install. It keeps trying to install but I get Error Message 1327: Invalid Drive E:/. I have tried to uninstall the update so that I can reinstall without Roxio but it won't let me do that either as "installation is in progress." It won't install and it won't uninstall. Help. Thanks.

Hi!

Hmmm...invalid drive...might that be one of the drive letters your BB get's assigned? Try this (do not attach your BB unless and until one of the procedures specifically tells you to):

Reboot the PC -- hard...shut down to a full power off. Wait a minute. Then power back up.

Do the clean uninstall:

Download the version you need (no Roxio):

Do a clean install:

Hopefully that'll get you going again.

Re: Blackberry Media Manager NOT working for Blackberry storm (wont install on computer)

This worked, thanks. I had tried the hard uninstall earlier but because Roxio automatically tried to continue its unsuccessful install, it wouldn't work. Thankfully (or perhaps luckily), it didn't relaunch this last time and the uninstall/reinstall worked perfectly.

Excellent! Glad you got it working. Please do take a moment and mark the thread as solved so that others can more easily find your solution.

Re: Blackberry Media Manager NOT working for Blackberry storm (wont install on computer)

I would love to but I think since I started my query as a reply to an existing thread, I can't. I couldn't figure out how to start a new thread so I jumped onto the most relevant existing thread.

Oh sorry...I didn't notice that you'd hijacked the thread (don't worry -- that's just the term used for taking over someone else's thread with one's own issues). In which case, you are correct that you can't close it...only the OP can do that.

Cheers!
