I'm having the same issue. I have a Torch 9810. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I can't get Blackberry 7 OS to install. I download from the "update my devce" button. The program downloads but won't go through the installation process. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I too am having the same problem. Found this solution in the Knowledge Base. Seems like a standard fix .... but....it still doesn't work for me, maybe cuz I'm on XP SP3 as there is no digital certificates tab to open. Maybe for the Win7 users there is ? See below for a potential solution. Good luck.
When attempting to install the BlackBerry® Desktop Software the following error is received
The installation files cannot be validated. Please verify the installer package and try again.
Confirm the certification path used to sign the .cab and .msi contains the appropriate certification authorities.
If the certificate in the signature cannot be verified select view certificate and identify the issuer certificate that is not trusted. Install the appropriate root certificate to resolve the issue in the certificate trust.

Finally found a solution. The cause is, the "VeriSign Class 3 Code Signing CA" certificate is missing, and is not in the link provided by RIM in "Knowledge Base", neither in VeriSign website (!) but thanks to google I found it.

*Save it with the name "Alternative Code Signing Intermediate 2010.cer"
*Open Internet Explorer
*Go to Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates, choose the "intermediate" tab, press "import" and select the certificate you saved.
After importing that, the installer should work now.

You are an absolute star! This worked first time. I've spent ages trying to find a solution and was sent down many blind alleys. Thanks again.
