I have BB Desktop Manager 5.0.1 and I am un able to syncronize my Contacts with Windows Live Mail from Windows 7. The only options the Desktop Manager offers are: Outlook Express, Importad./Exportad. ASCII adn Yahoo.
What can I do?

Same for me. I just bought new Windows 7 laptop with Windows Live Mail. I cannot synch my contacts with my Blackberry 8520. It used to work perfectly with my old Vista machine. Blackberry - please upgrade Desktop Manager to synch with Windows Live MAil. We are going backwards here.

Guys, had someone find a solution to sync contacts and calendar? I am pretty mad at BB, they haven't said anything to give us a clue to fix this! I am unsatisfied with the performance of my BB, considering to swith to other device.

To all...a few things...
1) These forums are a user-to-user support channel, not a user-to-RIM conduit (nor, for that matter, a RIM-to-user conduit).
2) RIM supports a broad range of PIMs...to expect them to support ALL PIMs is pretty much not practical. This is the KB that discusses the PIMs they support. They (RIM) will I am sure evaluate the new stuff that MS decided to release...and they will further decide if/when there is adequate traction of that platform to warrant RIM investing in yet another PIM conduit.
Lastly -- the information about what PIMs they support is not secret...anyone considering purchasing a mobile device should, IMHO, fully research the capabilities and make zero assumptions about what it will do and what it will be compatible with. Only armed with that full information can one then make an appropriate purchase decision.

To anyone who is interested - whether RIM or BB users...
I have discovered that you cannot synchronise your BB contacts with Windows 7 / Windows Live Mail Client, even when using the latest BB DM v5.0.1.
This is very disappointing when RIM is world leader, as is MS. So when Windows 7 was launched you would think BB and MS would have sorted this out.
The second major disapointment is that Vodafone UK (my service provider) took over 10 days to work out that my BB Curve cannot synchronise with Windows 7 / Windows Live Mail Client.
The third major disappointment is that the BB website has no contact page for users to ask such questions. We have to rely on these forums to get answers. The BB search function brings up dozens of irrelevant results.
The fourth disappointment is that the contacts synch function used to work on Vista/Windows Mail and XP/Outlook. We have gone backwards. Its not unreasonable to expect world leaders in this technology to be ahead of the game - not catching up.
Here is the link to the mail client compatibility list.
I have now bought Outlook 2007 to get over this - I just hope it works.

You now have me worried - I just ordered Outlook 2007 to get over the Windows Live Mail problem. The BB compatibility list says it should work. What issues are you having?
