When I originally installed the Desktop Manager, v4.2.x, and attempted to use the Media Manager when connected to my Blackberry 8310 I received the error message, "Roxio Easy Media Creator - The certificate is missing or has been corrupted. Please re-install it.". I un-installed the Desktop Manager and all Roxio files, down loaded Desktop Manager , v4.5, and re-installed...and have the same issue.
What's up with that?

Thanks for the attention.
I do recall that some portion of Roxio was installed w/ the BB Desktop Manager...but don't know the details. I did not intentionally install the Media Manager and I don't specifically recall if it installed with the BB software v4.5.
I'm running MS Windows Professional, v5.1 w/ Service Pack 2.
Thanks again

Hi,
I would suggest that you run the clean procrdure aand de-install the current DM.
This procedure will clear the registrry and system files.
Cold boot after.
Download either 4,6 or 4.5 on your preference from here without media manager:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code
Download the manual for either here:
I remeber partially a certificate that Media manager has to get over the internet for registrationl
Let me see if I can find it.
Thanks

This is from the roxio media website users. Beerman is a roxio empoyee, this in regards to
the corrupt certificate.
In the mean time, Beerman is correct in stating a clean install will resolve your issue. Below are the clean install instructions depending on your OS.
Clean Install Instructions for Creator 9 on XP
Clean Install Instructions for Creator 9 on Vista

It might be worth trying either before or after you run the cleanuninstall for Desktop.

What do I do for Windows 7?
I get the same error message. Our IT folks have re installed the program 2-3 times and it still doesn't work.
