DM 6, Outlook 2010, Contact picture in Outlook but not on phone

I sysnc my contacts from Outlook 2010 to my Curve via DM6.

 

I have until recently seen my Outlook Contact pictures on my phone but since I switched from an Windows XP machine to a Windows 7 machine the pictures have disappeared.

 

I know sizes have been a problem in the past but I had organsied theiir sizes so they came through OK. I have unassigned a couple of pictures and then assigned again but to no avail. I run the sync by saying the laptop is the master and that contacts on the phone are all replaced.

 

I've tried all types of searches to find a solution but to no avail other than that other people seem to have the same problem.

 

Thanks for reading and any pointers would be appreciated.

I have found CompanionLink Outlook which solves the problem and I do get the photos now for a contact. However it seems to me $40 is a lot to pay for a BB software error (as far as I can seee). I'm going to trial it for a while hoping someone can give me a solution via BB Desktop.
