Hey Prince wishfull  said I didnt have an active x loader so it wouldnt work anyother ideas? Blackberry apps need an archive for older apps like my BB Maps for dumb people who hit the wrong button. Really ticked off at my self.

Re: Deleted Maps app on Torch 9860

Hi chato1946

Sorry to hear that you are having problem downloading BlackBerry Maps, There are many ways to download BlackBerry Maps on our device but the link I Suggested is the most easiest way to download BlackBerry Maps directly on our device , But first Visit that page from your PC , their enter the email which is associated with your device. It will send you the link directly on your Message Box , Click on that to download BlackBerry Maps.

Regarding your issues with Active X , Those are just an  " Add On " that are used on Internet .They enhance your browser experience and also most Web sites require you to install ActiveX controls to see the site or perform certain tasks When you visit such a site, Internet Explorer asks if you want to install the ActiveX control . Are you not offered ? If not then first start Active X Installer service on the computer , then on Internet Explorer you will get a pop-up that will allow to install this add-on. Follow the steps to start the service :

On your Windows Click Start >  Type Services in Start Search > On that Screen Highlight and Right click on Active X installer > Click Properties > Set the Startup type to Manual >Click on Start, click OK  .

Or if you are having trouble you can use any other PC just enter the email address which is associated with your device , it will send you the download link.Try it and let us know if you are still unable to download, because there are other ways also but this is the easiest one.
