Desktop Manager 6 - Incorrect Last Sync/Backup Time

I've been using DM6 for the last week or so and am very disappointed. It does not seem to remember the last time that I synced or backed up.  The only time it remembers is the first time I synced my BB with it.  Not such a big issue for syncing, but I like my BB to backup weekly...so once a week has passed after the first sync, it wants to back up every time.

 

DM 5.0.1 worked flawlessly, but since I am using Outlook 2010, I can't go back.

 

Come on RIM, you can do better than this.

 

Any suggestions on how to get DM to remember when it actually backed up or synced?

Same problem, just with LAST BACKUP date/time (LAST SYNC ok). BB Desktop Ver. 6.0.0.43.

 

Aditional problem, I configure Backup to be done automaticaly every 2 weeks. What happend? Every time I connect cable BB to Desktop the Backup runs. Solution: cancel automatic Backup.

Same here.  The sync date WAS working while the backup date wasn't.  But now that I've downloaded the 6.0.0.43 version of the desktop software, now the sync date doesn't change either!  No error messages and the sync and backup both seem to proceed to completion.  What's up?

I am finding this very frustrating.. Have a new Pearl 9100, running DM 6.0.0.43, and every time i sync, it forces a lengthy and unnecessary backup.  It means that instead of a simple 30 second sync, I am forced to sit through 5-10 minutes of backup.  

 

Please.. any thoughts on how to solve this? I would prefer no backup whatsoever to this forced stuff.

 

Have also changed my setting to Weekly Backup, and that makes no difference.

 

Also, my DM indicates it has never been backed up.

Me too!

 

Backup kicks in almost every time so I gave up with the automated backup schedule and now do a manual backup per week.  I'm guessing that the cause is that the "Last Backup" date doesn't seem to get updated. So annoying!

Same here.. I unchecked automatic backup and will just go about it that way.. still not saying I ever backed it up though.. odd.

I have the same problem...

I have been using DM6 and it worked fine during the beta. Once it was officially released, my "last backup" date hasn't changed. My "last sync" date was fine. Today, I updated to the latest DM release (47), and now both sync and backup dates do not update. After the update and noticing what has happend, I have tried it with the usb connection as well as Bluetooth. I have also reset the synchronization settings within DM and went as far as removing the calendar from my Curve, which made DM see it as uninstalled. I undeleted the CICAL (Calendar) on my device and sync'd again. I've even sync'd from my device to Outlook and vice-versa, still no change. For kicks, I even updated the OS on the device to OS5, but still no change to the dates. I have also changed settings within the Device Options (Synchronize and Backup)

 

This is my setup: My OS is Windows 7 Professional (64 bit), Office Pro Plus 2010

 

My phone: Blackberry Curve 8330 OS4.5 -> OS5.0

 

This is the only machine I have been doing syncs and backups on. I just wanted to put as much info as possible. Hopefully there's a fix for this soon.

Same problem here...

Destop software shows old (and does not update the) date of last sync and backup.

I think, it is the date of the last sync and backup of Desktop Version 5.x.

My system: BB Desktop 6.0.0.43 (build 47)

BB Curve 8310, Firmware 4.5.0.174 (Vodafone Germany)

USB connected

Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) with all updates

MS Outlook 2007 + updates

 

Where is that info/date stored?

Any help?

HP 8440W connected via docking station.

 

Last Sync and Last backup not updating.

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the Blackberry device.
