Desktop Software for PC

Desktop Manager is Unresponsive and thinks the phone memory is full.

I plugged my blackberry in to update to the newest settings/software. When I went to install everything it said that there wasn't enough memory on my handset, so I unchecked several applications, yet it still says there isn't enough room. I have a 2GB memory card, the update/applications can't be more than 500MB AT MOST. That's including the 50MB of "other stuff" on the handset, which i presume is photos and music etc. Is it that the computer can't FIND the space or...?

I tried to back it up firstly, but the progress bar stopped just before it was finished and wouldn't continue, even though I left it for half an hour.

Now whenever I plug in my Blackberry, the desktop manger window greys out and doesn't let me select anything!

WHAT DO I DO? Any help would be appreciated.
