I have a new curve 9300 and have downloaded the desktop software. When my phone was set up I had the number transferred from my old phone. The desktop software is showing the # which came with the new phone - not the transferred # . Is there any way to change this? Or does it not really matter? Look forward to hearing from someone who can help

I would not thought it would matter. I see your on Tesco mobile which is the same as me.
I had my old number transferred to Tesco last week and when I look on my BlackBerry it still shows the new number and not the old number which I had transferred. There's not really a lot you can do about this as I think that number is heard coded into the SIM as far as I know.

Elizakate,
I have just been setting up my BlackBerry Storm and I think I have found a fix for what you were talking about.
Follow these simple instructions:
1: Go to options on your BlackBerry.
2: Then select Advanced Options.
3: Then go to SIM Card.
4: Then press your Options button / (The button with the BlackBerry logo on it.)
5: Then select Edit SIM Phone Number.
6: Then edit the current phone number and change it to the correct number that you had transferred.
7: Then just a case of saving it.
It definitely worked on my Storm 9500, so it should hopefully work on your Curve 9300.
After you change the number it can then be seen in your at the top of dialing log on the phone itself and if you then plug it into your PC and run the Desktop Software it should then show the correct number which you just edited.
Good luck with that, I hope it works for you too.
Message me back and let me know whether it has worked for your not. ![]()
