A different "fix" worked for me.  I kept all sync boxes checked, i.e., Calendar, MemoPad, Address Book and Tasks.  However, I unchecked "remove alarm from past items" and it all synced fine.

Thank you, had the same error message, this worked it is the Memo Pad that has the problem, so you can sync everything else except the Memo Pad. Hope this helps others.

Worked for me too. Simply reset settings, cleared a couple of conflicts in the next sync, and all is well. Thanks.

I clicked on Organiser & then on Reset Settings.  I then selected what I wanted.  It worked for me.
