Have the same problem with my Bold as leach542. When i plug i dont get the mass storage promt.Have the same memory settings as post above, updated drivers and when i plug in the berry i get the windows sound,he is recognized in the device manager but i dont get mass promt or the folder in wind explorer.

Could it be that my BB Bold has a old firmware. Went to my friends house and tried to connect the bb on his comp,and it didnt work. USB recognized the drivers it recognized the blackberry,but there was no device connected od the desktop manager, and the mass storage option didnt appear as it didnt on my comp. One more thing, USB cable is good,followed all of the instructions on the first post.

don't worry, your issue has nothing to do with the OS on your device.

 Sorry,english is not my first language. I meant that the USB in the device manager recognized the BB. But i dont get the folder with my microSD. And i never have the mass storage option in my phone. I connect the BB,i get the windows sound,my BB gets that analog clock,but i dont get the mass storage prompt,and i dont get the folder in My Computer. But when i go to Device Manager--USB controlers there IS a Blacberry device. Hope that makes more sence.

okay. My opinion : there is something wrong on your device.

--> first, try to remove the media card and then put it back.
then can you using the device, read a file that is on the media card ?

if yes :
--> home screen >> options >> media card
can you list the options in that screen ?

Yes i can read files from the media card.But i dont have the the "media card" in my options. I have the "media card" options in the "memory". One thing i didnt mentioned,is when i got the BB,i pluged it in and it worked normal with desktop manager and the media manager(NOT mass storage,never had the option) and i was puting some songs when all of a sudden it dissconnected. Since then it doesnt work with the media manager and desktop manager and mass storage. I should have said that earlier. Sorry Xandrex if this is confusing I really appriciate the help.
