Re: HOWTO : use your blackberry as a USB device

I have been searching all over for modem drivers - the modem drivers you mention here - will they work to install on an android tablet to use the tethered modem function somehow? If not, how can you get the tethered IP modem function to work on an android tablet like it does on any laptop  - I don't need the whole desktop manager, just the tethered modem.

Re: HOWTO : use your blackberry as a USB device

Your question is off topic. This discussion is about using a USB drive, not tethering.

That being said, the modem drivers are for the device that requires to be connected to the mobile phone. If you have an Android tablet, and want to tether it to a mobile phone, you need to read the android documentation.
That documentation will provide the configuration required on the tablet part, as well as some requirements that you will have to configure on the APN side of your BlackBerry device.

Once that done, you will need to pair your tablet and your 9700 via BlueTooth and it will work (provided your current TMobile subscription allows you to do internet tethering).

Re: HOWTO : use your blackberry as a USB device

I'm sorry if I was in the wrong post but  this is the only thing I could find on the site about  modem drivers.  My tmobile people told me to get the software through blackberry so thats why I was searching here.  I can't find anything in the android info but I will keep looking.

Thanks for letting me know that its at least doable, I dont' understand why its such a treasure hunt, its seems like it should be such a simple thing to do.  I really appreciate your help in pointing me in the right direction.  Thank you!
