I cannot install my downloaded Blackberry Desktop manager.

I have deleted all former Manager downloads, emptied my recycle bin, and cleared my browser cache and tried downloading again. It still would not install. Error Message: "tHIS INSTALLATION BACKAGE COULD NOT BE OPENED. vERIFY THAT THE PACKAGE EXIXTS AND THAT YOU CAN ACCESS IT, OR CONTACT THE APLLICATION VENDOR TO VERIFY THAT ITHIS IS A VALID WINDOWS iNSTALLER PACKAGE"

Windows 7 64 bit  Help please.

Refer:

  • KB12376 Error "This installation package could not be opened" when installing BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Note that it seems that the order of doing things is important, and I cannot tell for sure from your post if you did things in that exact order.

I was downloading from the official site.

Now we guess...I believe you now have a computer problem rather than a BlackBerry problem.

Are you using an account that is Administrator on your system?

Have you tried the "Run As Administrator" method to execute the installation package?

Is there anything running on your computer that might be blocking things? Virus Protection? Malware detection? Something else?

This is all totally blind guessing, btw...I can only surmise that something about your computer is preventing this from running, but finding that could be a very tedious proposition, and at an internet distance via this type of forum, even more so.
