[ Edited ]

you can got to http://www.cheservices.com/blackberry and download the zip file from my site.

hebrew4.5_for 88xx_or_83xx_bb is what you want

extract to a folder and double click the install hebrew batch file.

its that simple.....good for any device running 4.3 or 4.5 that is a 88xx model or a 83xx model.

Re: Installing Hebrew language

i have installed this for many and never had any issues. many others too. if she only wants to read hebrew than use the links in the subfolders the 88xx and 83xx can use the 83xx folder and choose hebrew.jad from the blackberry browser for an OTA install.

Re: Installing Hebrew language

Hi, I hope the right person reads this one, I nearly gave up on being able to read Hebrew on my 8330. Thank you for taking time for ekatz and also for myself, I really appreciate. I wished I was as computer savvy as you are. So naturally I have a question or ... :

1- Do I go to the Web site you posted with my Mac? or with my phone?

If with my phone - then I'm not sure I understand the protocol I should continue with. Please help.

If I download into my mac: do I create a folder on the Desktop? or in Applications?

2- Do I then connect the 8330 to the mac and drag & drop? or Synchronize? where to?

3- Do I then switch (on the 8330) between English & Hebrew manually - How? or does the 8330 identify the language appropriately? By the way, did I mention that I am with Verizon?

Again, I thank you for teaching me howto... BenM

Re: Installing Hebrew language

if all you want to do is READ hebrew--- from the blackberry browser go to http://cheservices.com/blackberry/83XX/hebrew.jad thats it... the phone will now display hebrew fonts. there is no need to tell it to switch or anything like that.....(it does not display nekudos) the pack that i mentioned is for PC loading to enable read and WRITE....this can also be accomplished over the air with the BB browser by going to http://www.lozgemachet.com/317374129/hebrew.jad and that will install READ/WRITE for the 88/83xx series phones Tully Weiss
