Re: Installing Hebrew language

if you buy it in a country where people speak hebrew, you'll have your device in english and hebrew. If you have already bought it, you just need to install a device OS that includes hebrew.
to do so, go to the following page and get the OS for your device. From such a country :

Re: Installing Hebrew language

You can forget about installing Hebrew onto your 8330 if you have Verizon and installed the 4.5 software.  Hebrew is absolutely not available on the 4.5 software.  And you cannot go back to the 4.3 software.  I was told to download Hebrew from a third-party company, but after hours of research, I cannot find any company that has it.

I only want to be able to read Hebrew emails, so if anyone knows of any company that will allow me to download Hebrew, please let me know.  And don't tell me Hebrew in Hand.  With that download you cannot read emails in Hebrew. You can only view Hebrew texts like the bible.

Re: Installing Hebrew language

Once you get a new phone with 4.5, you cannot go back to 4.3 on that phone.

Re: Installing Hebrew language

You can install any OS version on your device. Present, past of future.
Of course, you have to use the "install OS" procedure and not the "upgrade OS" procedure.

Re: Installing Hebrew language

The blackberry belongs to my daughter, and she does not want to go back to 4.3.  I am willing to download the Hebrew from a third-party company, but I do not know of any.  Do you?

as I said in my first answer : go on the page I gave, and look for a carrier that speaks Hebrew. Look if they have a 4.5 OS for the 8330.

Re: Installing Hebrew language

I have Verizon and do not want to switch to another carrier.  If I find Hebrew on Sprint, wouldn't I have to switch to Sprint in order to download it?

Re: Installing Hebrew language

There is a simple way to install an OS from another carrier, and still use your current carrier. Its' about deleting one file on your PC prior to installing the OS on your device. It's well explained in the procedure of OS installation. I don't have the link at the moment, check on the forum using the search form at the top left of this page.

Once you have done that, the only thing is that you don't have support at your carrier hotline. If you want support, you will have to install back their own OS (which is as easy as installing another carrier's OS).
