Missing elements from Backup

Recently I made a backup of a BlackBerry device, but when i restored the data everything was there except for a single BB Messenger conversation.

¿Can that happen?

did you choose to mark the stuff you wanted to backup while you were taking your backup ??

waelgasar is correct. The data should be on your device when the backup was created and you must choose to back it up as well. This article gives us more insights on BBM conversations and how to recover them.
