When I try to sync my Outlook using the new Desktop Manager Software version 7, I get an error that says: "Synchronization Error" "CRTranRec::GetLinkedRecordId : Invalid linked record Id" "OK", and the calendar never finishes sync'ing.
Needless to say, this is a big problem that calendars don't work anymore.
Please advise.

Hello,
If you haven't already tried, I recommend a clean "start over"
Good luck!

Hi sdgardne,
Thank you for the link, had a good read and did the following and it was a success ... ![]()
This is what I did:
a) Did a "Repair" on the Desktop Manager Software and b) from your link I used the #8 suggestion
"OPTIONAL -- if you truly want a clean start over AND you are 100% sure that the data in your PC Desktop Organizer (e.g., Outlook) is accurate, then, at this point, you can clear the BlackBerry of all Organizer data so that you can start over fresh, using your PC Organizer data as master: KB10167 How to clear the user content databases from the BlackBerry smartphone"
Again, many thanks,
David

My Outlook calendar depends on the BB to populate itself, thus I only have as many entries as could be imported before the BB sync process crashed- what was left to do after that one corrupt record, never got done & is missing from my Outlook calendar.
As such, the previously posted solution which includes deleting the device's calendar database(s) is not an option for me.
My solution was to uninstall the BlackBerry software packages from the system using Revo Uninstaller, which automatically cleans up registry & filesystem leftovers the app's uninstaller leaves behind.
Then I just installed the old 610_b038_multilanguage package & it works fine.

Well, that step is indeed optional in that process...but no matter, at least you found a solution that works for you.
Cheers!
