Hi,
Office 2013 is still in BETA having only been put out to public beta on July 16th. So Blackberry developers will have to play with the SDK and update accordingly, so I think it may be a little while until they integrate support for Office 2013 given that the ActiveSync has gone under some changes ![]()

I thought Office 2013 is now official. Is there any update or official statement from RIM? Does anyone have a work-around?
I tried wireless sync to gmail. It doesn't seem to be setup properly but I'm not focusing on that as I remember reading somewhere a few months back that Google was for all practical purposes discontinuing support of RIM devices. I don't think it was official but it seemed they didn't care about us anymore. It's fairly easy to sync many things with Hotmail (including gmail and I was hoping through outlook.com, to include my more important Outlook email accounts, contacts, calendars, etc. However, even if that works, which it seems to, I don't think there's a way to wirelessly sync outlook.com or hotmail to a BlackBerry device.
Another thought that a friend of mine had was to set up a virtual machine on my computer with Win7/Outlook 2010. It apparently has to be done in a VM to avoid having two versions of Office on the same computer (which I'm told is always trouble).
I hope RIM people are working on this. My gut would be to say to them that BB10 is first, but since the business environment & market has always the most important and they're building great features into BB10 for the business market, they would have to support Office 2013 if they're going to come out of the gate strong with their core market.
Any other ideas or thoughts??
Sheldon

Hello,
For PIM compatibility, this KB remains authoritative:
Like most public companies, RIM highly restricts the release of "forward looking information"...for them to state anything about what they are intending regarding your issue would fall into that category, I'd think.
Good luck!
