Hello,

I am trying to switch from 9800 (OS 6) to 9850 (OS 7).

I am using the BB desktop software, under Windows 7 Ultimate.

The steps are simple but after 6 times seems I do a mistake probably, what I do:

1. Connect my current device BB 9800 (OS 6), all adapt stored fast and simple.

2. Mark to transfer data and applications, disconnect old BB

3. Connect my new device 9850 (OS 7), see the correct BB device on screen

4. When the transferring starts in most cases I see a small Green wheel turning around, tried to wait 1-2 hours than I press CANCEL. Nothing  happen

In other one case I pass this stage and could get the Green line moving box, after one hour it moved about 1/3 of the box, left it for all night for 6 hours, but didn't get the OK and the Green box was at the same position, nothing happen.

On all trial the BB desktop never send an error message or similar.

What I do wrong?

Any alternative considering I move from OS 6 to 7.

Eli, try backing up the 9800 to the PC.

Then connect the 9850 and see if you can do a restore of all data to the 9850.

You won't get all third party apps moved over this way, but you can download those again from AppWorld.
