Hi 

 

 

     I agree if your address book is very large then its difficult to try this workaround and its really a very big task to add contact Image to each and every individual contacts.So I prefer  the vice versa i;e  if your Address Book is very large and if you have a few assigned a few Contact Images  then try removing those Contact Images from your Address book and then have a try. Or else you had to add  images to each and every Contact.

hey all,

 

i have more than 2000 contacts.

most of them have no profile image.

 

how do i find the problematic one with the "blank image"?

Hi zen_ore

 

 

                       I can understand your problem , you are having more then 2000 contacts ! You can refer to this thread            Cleanly "Starting Over" with the Desktop Software (non-BES)  start all over again Or within that thread on post # 15 there is an link to some previous version of Desktop Software, you can try version 6.1 it has help many, I know its not a solution but yes its and good workaround .

 

Please try it and let us know of your progress.

i downgraded BBDM to V6 and all is well.

 

future users:
the above mentioned link to previous versions of BBDM is on the second page (post # 15, as mentioned kindly by prince2012)

Hi Prince 2012.

I also seem to be facing the same problem.I have tried looking for 6.1 bbdm but haven't been able to find that on BB official site, there is only latest version 7.1 available.

There is one available via post No.15 on 2nd page, as was mentioned by you, but am not sure if that website is safe for downloading. Could you pls confirm if that website can be trusted. BTW there is another website where i have found the same 6.1 version but would like you to guide on authenticity of the website. http://blackberry-desktop-software.en.softonic.com/

Thanks for your reply. I have tried but the deposit box / gold membership requirement doesn't allow downloading on the mentioned website. 

 

Could you please advise the websited stated above by me is safe for downloading (http://blackberry-desktop-software.en.softonic.com/) or if you could advise how to go about downloading from the website given by you.

Hi FK12

 

                

                 When I try I was able to download the same, you can select the Regular Download mode apart from Gold Download, then wait for a min. and fill the Captcha on the same screen , it will allow you to download the version you desire.

 

Personally I have downloaded Desktop Software from the site you mentioned but if you have a good AV installed on your PC then you can go ahead.

 

Actually RIM has stopped downloading and providing support to older versions of BlackBerry Desktop Software, thanks to those Websites who have archived those files which still helping many users , But still those files are legit , those Desktop Software version are developed by RIM's once but not by those Website.
