Sync wants to duplicate my contacts

I just upgraded my Torch 9810 from 7.0 firmware to 7.1 firmware.  Now whenever I try to sync (Desktop sync) it wants to add all 1000+ Contacts to Outlook again (which will generate all duplicates).  I have not allowed it to sync, but I need to sync again soon.  Why is it doing this and how can I fix it?

Hi alexiaaurelio,

 

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

I would recommend trying to reset your synchronization configuration settings by selecting Reset Configuration under the organizer tab in the BlackBerry Desktop Software, setting up synchronization again, rebooting and then checking to see if that resolves the issue for you.

If that doesn't help, could you please check the following settings?

Could you please check under Contacts > Menu key > Options and tell me how many contact lists you have there? Could you also please check under Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Default Services and tell me if there is more than one choice for this Default Contacts?
