Help!  I keep my old calendar entries to track expenses, meeting dates, etc. I don't delete them, but when I sync my BB up with my calendar, it does!  How do i fix this?

hello,

you must set the number of days you want to keep in your calendar.

from the home screen :
Home Screen >> Calendar application >> Menu key >> Options
Keep appointments :

• 15 Days

• 30 Days
• 60 Days
• 90 Days
• Forever

Thanks, but I did that already!!!  it's actually keeping them on the BB and deleting them on my Outlook.  I've searched calendar options on Outlook but don't find it...

Your answer seemed like a good one, except there is no such option on my 8830 (recently purchased).  But my deletions are not occurring on my Outlook, but on my 8830!!.  Last time I sync'd (yesterday), the Berry asked me if I wanted to allow the deletion of 146 calendar entries from 1-25-08 to 6-13-08!  I rejected that.  I did notice in the calendar options there's a field that lists the number of entries allowed in the calendar, but this figure cannot be changed.

when you open Desktop Manager, there is an option regarding calendar synchronization. You must choose one among :
Blackberry --> Outlook
Blackberry <-- Outlook
Blackberry <-> Outlook

Xandrex, are you talking about the conflict resolution thing?  I can't find another way to have it just sync up the stuff on the device.

and i changed the conflict res so that the DEVICE wins, but that didn't help.

where is the setup thing you're talking about?

I've changed this option in my 8830 and still experience the same problem:  appointments 60 days & older are being deleted by the BB and synch tries to delete on Outlook.  I've done a soft reset of the device and the problem continues - synch wants to delete the same 5 appointments in Outlook.  Suggestions for next steps?

Hi,

Reset your sync options on the desktop manager, in calendar, make sure you check all appointments, this synchronizes the entire calendar. I do the same for reference.

I thought I've checked everything carefully in Desktop Manager: the Setup and Advanced tabs under the Calendar synchronization tab:  two way synch; transfer all items from past 180 days prior to 1800 days after today; under conflict resolution, Outlook wins. On the BB 8830 - under Calendar options, keep appointments is set to Forever.  Problem still persists but only on the 5 appoinments that just turned 60 days old.

Do you thing re-installing Desktop Manager with the newest build would help?
