I am glad that the sync problem appears to be resolved but I will not go through upgrade hell again until I hear that the "1904" dll errors have also been fixed. I know they can be registered manually but come on...this is 2009. For now 4.2.2 is working fine for me and my pearl2.

I actually had two keys, with different but similar numbers, probably reflecting prior installs trying to solve this problem. I am syncing with Outlook 2007 now. Thanks!
So, why was it trying to connect to the Internet, anyway? What a shame RIM couldn't/wouldn't fix this.
Thanks, and Kudos, again.

My value was 6, I changed it to 0 and it worked like a charm!
After 7 hrs of reinstalling/ reading forums/ googling it finally works. Thank you sooooo much!!!!!

New Blackberry Storm 9530: just updated the DM to 5.0
Cannot synch with the above message
When I go to the Regedit fix and get down to the instruction: synchroize the next line is Intellisynch or something like that. There is no number nor is there anything on the right side that says: state.
I am not tech saavy so I would like to know what is the down side to not being able to access this besides not synching my Outlook stuff. Does this mean I will not be able to update my firmware etc when RIM sends out stuff?

I performed the regedit fix as you specified above to fix the "must have be connected to the internet" problem for both 4.6 and 4.7.
Now that I've upgraded to 5.0, what's the fix now????
