Desktop Software for PC

Hi I was hoping someone might be able to help me.

I would like to know if there is any software avaialble for backing up SMS messages from a BB device to an Andrioid or iPhone? I have seen serveral websties claiming the software works but I am not 100% sure if they are genuine.

You can back up your SMS message to your PC using your BlackBerry Desktop Software and use various PC softwares to extract the SMS database to an XLS file or ASCII text file.

However, not knowing in what manner you will import that database into an Android or iPhone, and you haven't mentioned what applications you've found that want to know "are genuine", it's sorta difficult to answer your question.

I have backed up the blackberry and found some software called Elcomsoft Blackberry Backup Explorer, this seems to browse through and find SMS messages fine and also gives me the option to save them in various formats. What I need to do now is find out how to import them into the iPhone and Android.

Exactly...  another app for your PC is MagicBerry from Menastep which does the same thing.
