Not sure what the problem is but my mute button on my 8520 is giving problems (need to press it thrice before he screen lights up. The lock key "a" keeps switching to caps "A" or star or nothing happens. This is very frustrating. Sometimes the trackpad does not do anything either.
Is this a system error or should the keypad be replaced? I can't see it being a keypad error as the mute button also gives a problem?
Its possible that you may have gotten you're blackberry device wet from time to time, or dropped it maybe? My advice is upgrading to a New blackberry device but it is not a system error it is must likely a problem with you're actual keyboard or trackpad, luckily you can replace these, and if you do you mightaswell replace it with a style you like, try Google for Some information on replacing them.
In this case we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry® smartphone to make sure it is running the latest version and there are no issues with the OS.
