Unable to install Desktop Manager 7

Hi,

I am unable to install the desktop manager 7, when I run the .exe file, I get a popup window stating:

"could not create "C:\Users\SHEERA~1.AHM\LOCALS~1\TEMP" - unzip operation cancelled"

I get this message even when I run the install in administrator mode. I'm using Windows 7.

Can someone please help? Thanks.

Hey Stormtamer,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

I would suggest to perform a clean uninstall of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software which will remove any BlackBerry components.  Follow the steps in this KB article: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02206

Once you completed all the steps, restart the computer and then download the software from www.blackberry.com/desktop and save it to your desktop and install it.

If the issue persists, we will be gathering logs which I will provide instructions for later.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers.

Re: Unable to install Desktop Manager 7

Ciao Vicious,

Thanks for the info, however, still it doesn't work.

1. I don't have any previous BB desktop manager installed on my system.

2. I have administrator rights as well, however, still it doesn't work.

Honestly, I think that the download  files have some problems. I'm not even able to install the Desktop Manager 5 from the CD.

Regards,

Stromtamer
