Undoing Media Sync

Hi. I used my BB Desktop Software to sync music between my BB n Laptop. In the process, for some reason I don't understand, it created a seperate 'Media Sync' Folder within my pre-installed music folder on the phone. Consequently, some songs are in the Media Sync folder under various sub-folders/artistes while some are in the music folder.
Is there a way I can 'undo' this Sync folder so all my music moves back to the normal music folder without having to manually cut and paste the songs?

Re: Undoing Media Sync

Hello MissyTizzy and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for your question regarding the Media Sync folder.

This folder is created by design when using the Media Sync feature. The subfolders are created for each artist/album etc. This folder cannot be disabled for creation when using the Media Sync feature.

When you are in your Music application on your device, you should be able to access all your media files. Are you unable to do so?

Re: Undoing Media Sync

Hi Pirate. Thanks for your reply. I can access all my media files in the Music app. Not having any problems with the Media Sync folder really. Just like having my stuff 'all put together'. Thanks!

Re: Undoing Media Sync

Understandable.

With Media Sync, the folder gets generated and there isn't any way to prevent this. You would have to manually move the folder data if you wish to have it in the main folder.

Cheers :smileyhappy:

Re: Undoing Media Sync

Thanks. Actually did the whole manual moving already - Phewww!!! Guess I'll have 2 stay of Media Sync. Or would it still work without the folder?

Re: Undoing Media Sync

The folder will automatically generate when you use Media Sync. It's by design.

Thank You.
