backing up data onto a laptop

I've been trying to back up data from my Torch 9810, specifically my contact list, onto my laptop. I opted for a "quick" backup. The backup process is completed and indicates its saved to my C: drive but I cannot find any data except for the photos from the phone. I do wind up with an Adope icon labeled Torch 9810 on my desktop but when I open it I get a box saying the file cannot be opened because it is not in a supported file or because the file has been damaged.  I've tried this twice so far with the same results. Any suggestions anyone?

Re: backing up data onto a laptop

If you're backing up your data, you'll be looking for a *.ipd file on your PC, normally saved to your MyDocuments folder.

You will need something like MagicBerry from MenaStep to extract your contacts to an XLS file.
