Sorry to hear you are having issues with your BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone.
Does the screen display and error or remain solid white?
I would suggest you reinstall your device software.
Use the BlackBerry® Desktop Software to backup your person data. Once your data has been saved, follow the steps in KB11320 How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows or KB19915 Perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer.
After the software reload has been completed, before you restore your personal data, remove your BlackBerry from the charging source and monitor if the screen goes white as it had before.
If the same white screen is happening then it would be advised you contact your mobile network carrier or point of sale for hardware repair.

Did you follow the steps for the software reload as posted above?
If so, did you encounter any errors during the reload?
If you haven't done so, please follow the steps to reinstall the software.
Should the screen remain white after you complete the reload then contact your mobile carrier or point of sale for hardware repair.
