Your Password Keeper password is not necessarily the same as your device unlock password -- unless YOU set it as such. The PK app password is created separately and can be different.
If you enter your PK password wrong a set number of times, ONLY that data stored in Password Keeper is deleted -- not the entire device data.
Does this make sense to you?
Do you have a recent back of your device?

There is no default password for the Password Keeper. It is whatever you set it to.
The first time it is used, the first thing you must do after opening it is to create and set the password.
If there was a default password, that would be sorta sorry security on RIM's part.
I could grab anyone's BlackBerry device and know the "default" password. Nope, doesn't work that way.

This happened to me too! Last night it asked me for my password when I connected my phone to my computer (for the first time) . I put in my password a couple of times that I use to unlock the phone. When it said that everything was going to be deleted on the next try I quickly disconnected my phone from my computer. However when I went to use my phone the same message was on it. I tried using my unlock password but the whole thing turned off and starting wiping off everything. I lost everythings....notes, texts, memos, contacts, pictures....I am so upset!! Very valuable stuff....and some sentimental too!!
Please tell me if there is a way to retrieve all this data. Thank you for any help!
and what password was it asking me for anyways?? and where do I find it?
