Sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with BBM contacts.
Please see the following article on expectations when using the same BlackBerry ID on multiple devices for BBM:

One of you will need to create a new BlackBerry ID and change the BlackBerry ID for your device by following this process:
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB26694
They will also need to repopulate their BBM contact list manually under the new BlackBerry ID.
