Auto-suggest helps you quickly narrow down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type.

do an advanced search using the options. Once you are satisfied with it, you can save it and assign it to Alt-O.
If you do that, remember to delete any other search shortcut that may exist.

Indeed, but those shortcuts depend on the language selected by the user in the BlackBerry interface, and may also differ from one carrier to another.
Better go in the advanced search, and browse the saved search ("Recall" in the menu) to view them.
