BB Browser, Media Net and 3G

Please correct me if my info is wrong. If my users are using BB Browser on their HH their internet connection goes through our BES. If they use MediaNet (AT&T) their connection goes directly to the provider's connection, correct?

Next question, if we have 3G connection on our HH (BB Bold 9000) and use BB Browser we are not really getting 3G speed b/c it's going thru our network? I'm a little confused here can somebody please explain further? Another question, can I make MediaNet as the default internet browser on all HHs?  THANKS!

I posted a short description about browsers a while ago.

 

With that in mind, you are always getting 3G speed. The question is do you want the traffic to go through your BES or not. Media Net is AT&T's WAP browser and you are certainly able to use it, but keep in mind that the Internet browser is already included with most dataplans and there may be additional charges to use the WAP browser. I would check with AT&T to see what (if anything) they charge to use the WAP browser.
