I recently ugrpaded my Storm to 5.0 but after rebooting it gives me java.lang.nullpointerexception error folwed by java.lang error. How do I remedy this? Tried reloading multiple times with no success. On a side note, when I try to download apps it says it downloads but no app appears anywhere except Options>Applications, and it goes into a neverending download processing loop each time I try to open it.

1. I would recommend following the suggestions in the Knowledge Base article below, first.

It is likely you have some data or something backed up and restored to the device during the upgrade that is no good, or has errors (like address book, call log, browser cache, etc).

The easiest fix, would be to do an OS load again, but withOUT any of the data restore. There is an option to do so in the app loader upgrade process.

Then one by one, use Desktop Manager > Bakcup/Restore > Advanced to restore one database at a time.

2. Where are you downloading apps from?

Each time you try to "open it", what is it? The application folder?
