Is there a way to recover a deleted BBM from a contact?

I have a BB Bold 9780 and really need to be able to do this.

Yes, as long as you have a backup of your device to your PC, made while the message was on your BlackBerry...

or, if you log your BBM chats to your media card (in your BBM > Options).

Is there a way to retrieve older bbm's before i set my BB to save to the media card? Is there a ghost image somewhere?

And, I do wish there was a better answer for you, but fortunately, (or unfortunately) once these are deleted, they are deleted, for security reasons, and users knowing they will need a copy of such messages have 3-4 options to save or backup such messages.
