I've noticed that my blackberry replys to the FROM and ignores the REPLY TO field. Do you know anything about that?
When I reply to this specific email on my outlook, it responds to the REPLY TO address. If i do the same on my Blackberry, it reply to the FROM address.

Hi there!
I just ran a test to attempt to replicate this.
So, I'm not able to replicate what you experienced. In which case I would suggest a few remedies:
1) Register HRT:
2) Resend Service Books:
3) Delete and completely recreate the BIS conduit
Good luck and let us know!

The use case is a bit different:
1) Send the email from account 1 to account 3 with "Reply To" = account 2.
2) Reply from account 3 using a laptop/desktop. The email will be received by account 2 - as should be.
3) Reply from account 3 using teh BB. The email will be receieved back by account 1 - problem.
Thanks for quick response,
Yuval

OK...test complete, exactly as yours is listed. While I didn't actually send the replies, they both (Outlook and BB) were addressed to the expected Reply-To account. Therefore, my above recommendation stands.
Good luck!

We checked with our users and we have tens of users with the same problem. Our software sends out an email FROM info@uptous.com and REPLY TO the actual sender. When replying from laptop/desktop, there is no problem. When replaying from BB, the response goes back to info@uptous.com.
I tried a couple of your suggestions and it did not work but in any case, it is clearly not a problem with a specific device. I can send you a message from the system itself, so you can reply to and check the destination.

I m having the same problem.
I already registered my BB with the network and sent the service book but the problem was not solved.
I dont know when this problem started to happen to me, but it wasnt always.
My account is a gmail account, maybe the enhanced gmail management app has something to do with the problem.

The problem is not with the device. We see 10's of users with the same problem. I'm not sure why or how but we've noticed the problem only in the last few weeks but it may have always been there. It's quite surprising and I'm not sure can help out with that. If you find something out, it will be great to know.

Hi again!
Sorry for the pause in communications -- but, during that period, there were some attempts at testing going on in other quarters. And, with what those testers had available, they were not able to reproduce the problem. At the moment, the theory is that it has something to do with the original sending host system. If, for instance, the Reply-To is slightly malformed in some way, BIS may not be able to properly interpret it while other systems have enough variance in their code to handle the variation. Now, that's just a guess mind you...not having your email system in hand makes it pretty much impossible to know for sure. Is there a way that you can configure a different email system and set the same fields on that system and see if the results are the same? You should be able to make the attempt with any free email system out there, using Outlook as your client to generate the initial email (it can set "Reply-To" as different from "From"). That could rule in or out BIS itself in favor of the sending email system.
Good luck and let us know!
