I just got a Curve and have set up 2 personal Gmail accounts using IMAP.  However, under 'options' -> 'email settings', both accounts have the same email address listed under 'message services'.  It seems like both accounts would have to use the same 'message services'.

I can receive and send mails using both accounts just fine.  The problem is when it comes to deleting messages, one account's configuration would override the other one.  (I have set only one account to sync but not the other one.)  I have tried deleting both accounts, setting them up again on my provider's homepage and resending service books. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I would try the following:

Go to OPTIONS.ADVANCED OPTIONS. HOST ROUTING TABLES.click to enter, menu key, SELECT REGISTER NOW. You will get a verification email. Wait 5 min to make sure you get the service books.

Then  pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute.

 Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed,

I have already done this, yet whichever email address I select for "Message Services:" under one email account ends up being the same one for all 3 of my accounts.

Can someone explain what this selection is even for? Perhaps that is supposed to happen.

Try the following:

Go into Service Books (Options, Advanced Options) and delete every entry in there. You may be left with Provisioning at the end.. At that point, do a battery pull; Log into your BIS account and resend the service books.

Post results.

In rereading your question I would like some clarification.

I have 5 email accounts, two of which are Gmail.

Each Gmail account has a different name.

When I go to the message queue, select options, email settings.

Under Message services:

Myrealname@gmail.com is listed

Below that I have the options (settings) for that address.

Enable HTML

Confirm Delivery

Confirm Read (etc.)

When I highlight the MyRealname address and click the trackball,

I can then have the option to choose my other address's, I select My other Gmail address;

The screen now reads:

Message services:

Blackberrybifocals@gmail.com

Enable HTML

Confirm Delivery (etc).

I could not get a screen capture of what it looks like when you

highlight and click the listed email address. As soon as you click it,

ALL your email addresses are displayed. And you can roll the trackball to select

the one you want.

So basically "Message Services"  is where you can select the options for each email address.

So there would not be a separate screen for each address.

Is that what you are seeing, and is that your question?

If so please do not delete any service books as the device is correctly functioned.

You're posting screen shots of your Storm while the client has a Curve with OS 4.3 based on the menu path she's mentioned.

Obviously the device is not functioning properly -- hence she should delete the service books and resend it via the BB web client.

Elizabeth, just delete your service books and once they're resent from the BIS, and post results.

Thanks for your concern, I used the Storm for visability,

Would you be happy if I used the Curve?

I just mentioned that so that she doesn't get confused with the screen shot you had posted.

4.3 and 4.7 are vastly different in terms of menu functions.
