I am running 27 BB's, managed with BESx5, and BB Protect says that it will not run with that configuration. So what solution does RIM provide for their business users to track their assets?

True, Protect won't run on BES devices.
Your BES can do all that (and I'm not a BES person, can't answer what you need to do, but if you will kindly post in the BES area of this forum, you can get help there.

Well, if the device is in an area of no signal, Protect (as well any tracking application) is useless... as the network radio is used to communicate with the lost device.

Hi while on this topic any help??
My phone was stolen today! And as all thiefs it was on for a few minutes then switched off! However i did have blackberry protect active so I locked the device and sent a display message! Stating " This is a stolen phone please contack me as soon as possible to help me get my phone backk and recieve an award. Ok these items will only go through once they switch the phone on! I tested it on my other blackberry it works! No i want to know is there anyway something can inform me once that phone is switched on again. If something can inform me hay your phone is on I can track the location!

no, other than to keep trying the GPS locate function or such from time to time.

Hey,
I lost my phone a long time ago, reported it as stolen to Rogers, I then later find out my brother took it with him to toronto incase of emergency. I have it back but I have no signal, Ive thought about unlocking my phone to see if that will help. What should i do and I have contacted rogers about it and none of their suggestions have worked.

What all suggestions did Rogers tell you to do, you didn't say.
When you reported it stolen, did Rogers list as Stolen and have it placed on a blacklist? Did you ask them that?

they told me to remove the sim card, reboot it after 5 minutes or so, restore it from my computer. and they didnt note anything about it being stolen or blacklisted when i mentioned the situation. I also tried using my sim card in 2 different phones and another blackberry and there was no problems there.
