Here is what solved my problem.
Keep the myspace application logged into your myspace account. You can close the application, just leave it logged in.
If that does not fix your problem then try resending your service books, goto: Setup, Personal Email Set Up, Service Books, then Send Service Books.

Hey!
Has anyone figured out a solution to this? I get my email notifications that I have new messages in my inbox on myspace but when I open the app the messages arent there. I can only get them by going on the website or through the mobile site on my phone.
Any help would be great!
Thanks!

Hey all,
Finally figured out the problem.....
Read the following article...
If you notice at the very bottom of the article it says...."MySpace for BlackBerry smartphones only notifies you of items for which you have turned on notifications in your MySpace account."
So, basically, what you have to do is go into your myspace account settings, click notifications and select which notifications you want to receive to the phone (new messages, comments, etc.). NOTE: This is not the mobile notifications area and after this, you can hypothetically get rid of your text message notifications.
Here's the second MUST KNOW piece. The email address you are sending your notifications to should be an email address that is setup on your blackberry. When the email comes in, the phone knows its a myspace update and it shouldn't show up as a new inbox message but as a myspace notification.
I did this today and it worked immediately when a new message came in.
NOTE: This won't work with your phones MMS/SMS address (eg. 1235551212@vzwpix.com) the myspace notifications must use an email account that you have setup on your blackberry as an email address through Blackberry Internet Service or Enterprise Server.

Hey I have the BB Curve thru Verizon, when i downloaded the myspace app something happened afterwards and i couldnt access the internet thru the browser....After calling Verizon they resent book entries or something like that and that solved "that" issue...But now when i try to read myspace email thru the app i get an error message that says ;
" Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_myspace(640) is not responding; process terminated"
Everything else is working with the Myspace app on my phone, just cant read emails.......I can go to the browser and actually go to the website and do it that way but whats the purpose of that if i have the myspace app? Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks
J

I made sure and did this the other day and am still not receiving notifications on my Blackberry 8830. I even got an email yesterday saying I had a new comment and waited a half hour to see if my BB would update it and it never did. I then went into the Myspace App and looked at my comments and sure enough, there it was.
I think they released this App a little premature.
