Just wondering if there are now any alternatives to a security wipe to changing your Blackberry ID.

There is no other work around for this at this time.

Since the Blackberry ID is used to sign into app world, how will a new ID become associated with the apps already purchased?

It wont as app that are purchase are only good under one BlackBerry ID.

What is the error message when you are trying to log into App World on your device?

I don't have any problems now. I have changed internet providers and will need to change the email associated with my Blackberry ID. Is  there a way to do it without changing the ID?

You don't need to change the email address. They only thing would be is you wouldn't get the receipts and forget password emails to the device.
You can follow this KB on changing the information for your BlackBerry ID http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/kb28060. Since you are running a 7.0 device after the changes were made you would then have to security wipe your device and enter in the new email address and password.

Ok. One final thing, when I log in to my Blackberry ID, it says that my email is unconfirmed. Does this make any difference in my options?

You will need to get the email that was sent to the email account and follow the links inside that.
