I just got a Blackberry Pearl 8120 this week (OS 4.3), and I have gotten it all set up and stuff, but i can't get any videos to play using the browser. I can load the youtube and other video sites just fine, but when i click to play a video i get the following error message: The protocol specified is not supported by the handheld. Please try a different URL.
Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution to it?
Thanks in advance

At the current time BlackBerry does not support Streaming Video. I believe there may be some 3rd party software available for the 8130 but I have not tried it and can not even verify whether it actually does exist.
So for the time being sorry, but no Youtube

That is unfortunate, my buddy has the same phone, but he is able to play videos from the internet using the BB media player. When he clicks the link to the video it opens it up in his media player instead of him getting that error message. Thoughts?

Some video content from YouTube is available on current devices. I have 4.3.0.71 (Pearl) and can watch some content. The Lego Bohemian Rhapsodies is awesome on a Pearl!
I haven't figured out which files types yet, and RIM has been pretty cagey on answering the question.

I have a Curve 8310 and I was looking for the same thing. Then I found a site called http://blueapple.mobi
You can start there.
