OS 6 Sofware and BB calendar

i downloaded the new software yesterday and it's fine except that i can't figure out an easy way to move across days in the calendar day view. The older version had the days of the week at the top and you could just scroll to next day. Is there an EASY way other than going to view agenda and using the space bar?

Re: OS 6 Sofware and BB calendar

You can just scroll in the same way, it just doesn't have the day indicator at the top.

The main problem with the calendar is how sodding zoomed it is - I want to see more than a few hours at a time in day view without endless scrolling. A lot of the new OS seems designed to result in massive endless scrolling because thats 'cool', and just being able to look at the screen isn't.

Re: OS 6 Sofware and BB calendar

I wish I knew the answer to this problem also: with OS 6 swiping from one day to the next is exasperating and almost impossible; and, the shortcut that works with weeks and months and agenda -- hitting the space bar -- does not move the calendar from day to day, but only scrolls within a day.

The day view simply cannot be used in OS 6, so far as I can see, and one must resort to the agenda view.  It's a very annoying and seemingly inexcusable glitch.

Re: OS 6 Sofware and BB calendar

I have found through trial and error that "n" gets you to the next day and "p" to the previous day, if that helps.

I, too, wish you could continue to swipe to get to the next day.

Re: OS 6 Software and BB calendar

Thanks.  Sadly for me, on the day-view entering an "n" and a "p" only enter "n" or "p" as calendar entries at a given time.  Neither will change the day itself.

By trial and error, I have discovered that if I scroll very deliberately, using almost the whole length of my thumb -- from below the first joint to the tip of the thumb -- I can produce a movement from one day to the next; but, it's quite a nuisance and impossible to "thumb through" numerous days at a time.

This seems such an odd glitch, since you can easily thumb through the week-view and the month-view.

Re: OS 6 Software and BB calendar

The "n" and "p" work to move days forward and back if you turn off "Enable Quick Entry."

Re: OS 6 Software and BB calendar

Thanks so much.  This works!

Now if only the day calendar would scroll with anything like the ease that the week and month calendars scroll.

Re: OS 6 Sofware and BB calendar

I too am having problems using the OS 6 calendar. I can't figure out how to advance one week-- there used to be a menu item for doing so, but it no longer exists. I am using the agenda view and actually prefer it to the old day calendar. If anyone can tell me how to advance one week within the agenda view, I would be most grateful. I use the calendar extensively to schedule patient appointments. Thanks. tilly4

Re: OS 6 Sofware and BB calendar

Thanks for the suggestion, but it is oinconvenoient to have to switch back and forth between agenda and week views just to advance one week. I wish they would add skip a week back as a menu option.
