OS 7.0 to 7.1 update problems

Hi - I'm trying to update the os on my Blackberry Curve from 7.0 to 7.1. I started at 6pm last night and 18 hours later the phone is still continuously rebooting. Any ideas? Should I pull the battery out?

Did you attempt OS upgrade over the air??

Now you need to reinstall you device OS but you should try a local download in your PC and update via USB cable.

Many thanks fpr the reply! Yes - I tried over over wifi. I just tried using Blackbery desktop manager but the challenge is that I don't have admin rights on my laptop as it's a work machine so blackberry desktop manager won't allow me to install new software
