OS 7 update and blackberry 9860

I tried to update my OS by downloading the new OS 7 and after the software download, it started backing up all my data and files. At some point it stopped and i tried a hard restart by taking out my battery. Almost 24 hours since this happened, my Blackberry phone has remained in that state and i am stuck on what t do.

Re: OS 7 update and blackberry 9860

You'll need to have it reconnect to BlackBerry Desktop Software so that the OS can be properly reloaded.  Disconnect your phone from your PC, shut down BDS, start BDS up again, plug your phone back in and wait for BDS to recognize it.  Chances are once it gets recognized, you'll be offered the option to reload the OS.  If that happens, proceed with the reload.  If it doesn't, you need to force the detection of your phone by BDS.  Here's how to do that:

My Z10 was furnished by BlackBerry but all opinions are my own.
