Novice user here, I am wondering if my work outlook email powered by an exchange server can be run on a Bold through a BIS platform.
If so then what are the pre requisites for this to work, and can it mark items read/unread on the server so when I get back to my PC the read emails are read?
Thanks in advance.
Tom

You could use Outlook Web Access integration through BIS. It'll sync read / unread marks, along with deletions...

Thats fantastic thank you very much.
Do I need to make any changes or check any settings on the exchange server before I can set this up to run properly?
The set up at the moment allows a windows mobile device to remotely access the server but moving in the right direction of considering running a bold on a bis plan.
Thanks again

You shouldn't have to do anything on the exchange server. The only thing you have to hope for is avoiding this issue:
My work IT decided to enable ISA and I can't integrate my OWA via BIS anymore.

An ActiveSync device connects in a totally different manner than BIS.
If BIS integrating doesn't work, you could try out: AstraSync .
I use it and it works well for me.

This might sound really dumb but is OWA part of an exchange server by default?
Outlook Web Access is included as a part of Exchange server ... whether it has been configured, that is a different story.

Ok so once the OWA is configured the intitial BB guide should work?
Unless the OWA / network configuration is some horribly non-standard implementation; yes.

Is there a blackberry recommended configuration?
We have 5 email addresses on our exchange, and 3 of those may need OWA with a BIS platform/device.
