I used to have a Blackberry Bold 9700 and resently got a 9900. But with both, when i update, it deletes my other languages and leaves only english. I need french on my phone. I just updated my 9900 last night and as before with the 9700, it erased my french language option. Please help! I need it back fast.
Thanks

Hello ,
Download & install the handheld software (BlackBerry operating system) from here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/dow
Download the newest version with multilanguage listed.
Install the device software on your computer
Open BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.1 and select Applications and then select the french language and install.

Thanks Adam8,
but I probably should have mentionned that I have a mac. I tried downloading that software twice and it doesn't work. Unless i'm doing something wrong, I don't believe it works on a mac.
Are there any other solutions?

Adam8,
I did that, but French is not on that list. In fact, there aren't any languages in that list except support for east asian characters.
