Re: Setting BlackBerry OS 6 to use HotSpot browser

Hello prems1178, no OS6 device will be able to act as a Wi-Fi HotSpot.

Re: Setting BlackBerry OS 6 to use HotSpot browser

1. battery pull to restart

2. manage connections-> mobile network options -> data service -On
3. turn on your wifi network :

-- for OS 5, go to option in the browser, choose browser type to hotspot browser..
-- for os6 go to settings>device>advanced system settings>browser push->enable push..

(the others i ticked all, no problem so far..)

hopefully this should get you to connect to the internet through wifi

while browsing, ensure that the icon on the top right is a wifi icon, and your signal bar icon.. this means you are browsing through wifi.. if the wifi icon is replaced by 3g/edge icon, you are NOT using the wifi... so be careful..
