Device software for BlackBerry®

I use memopad a lot on my BB and I love it. But I wish there was a way to do more with it. 1. Connect a USB device to the micro USB port on my BB, and be able to access MS Notepad files directly from my BB. I know I can open some word documents if they are emailed to me, but I'd like to be able to access files via thumbdrive. 2. Either through e-mail or the above thumbdrive idea, be able to view and edit my memos from my BB on my PC using MS Notepad. I absolutely love the security that the BB offers which is why I don't want to switch to another phone, but with the advances in technology and the idea that the smart phone is fast becoming a mini-tablet/mini-pc, I'd like to see some more productivity built into my BB, with out the need to down load new apps, and with out the worries of increased security threats. I know these ideas are possible, but are they realistic for RIM to integrate into a new BB model? Will

re: #1, don't use a separate USB thumbdrive, instead, use the BlackBerry itself as a USB thumbdrive via it's media card. Then, all the documents, etc., are ON the device already.

Also, use something like DropBox or SugarSync on the BlackBerry to keep all those documents from your PC automatically synced on your BlackBerry

Thank you for the ideas. The more I think about it the less I remember about why I thought this was such a great idea in the first place.
